Read Review

A 64 track collection of the very best of Peter Green, an intelligent anthology of arguably the UK's finest blues guitarist drawn from all periods of his career. From his early stuff with Peter Bardens, his ground breaking recordings with John Mayall to his first work with Fleetwood Mac and their later best selling records and on to his later solo work and the Splinter Group years.  Also included are classic recordings with Eddie Boyd, Otis Spann, Duster Bennett and tracks from "Blues Jam At Chess" with Walter Horton & SP Leary. The box comes complete with a terrific 72 page booklet containing excellent sleeve notes by compiler John Crosby  (God bless him) who also delivers incisive and informative commentary on every track. And it's full of rare photos, never seen before (by me) printed ephemera and lots of rare posters - a real treasure trove for all Peter Green fans. Worth it just to hear stupendous tracks like Underway, Oh Well, Ramblin' Pony and Need Your Love So Bad. Exceptional production, don't miss it!!
